The Centennial softball team is currently ranked 19th in the overall 4A Rankings. Their record is 12-6 overall and in League they are 2-4.

For this team to make the playoffs and continue their season at State they have to be ranked 32 or better in the overall 4A Rankings. The Bulldogs have five games left, three SCL games and two non-SCL games.

Head coach Nick Zinanti said, “The plan is to continue to push the growth, grit, competitiveness and the companionship that we’ve reached since our first summer workout back in June of 2022, after we took over the program.”

“The road doesn’t change just because those games will now be labeled as the playoff. The road remains the same, and we have to continue to always be ready and willing for any and all challenges that may show up along the way,” he said.

Zinanti hopes the girls will make it all the way to state. First they must win two games at the state regionals tournament for their journey to continue.

Taking the lead in highest batting average, hits and runs batted in is Adrianna Lopez, junior.

In the lead for doubles is Kayli Smiley, junior, and in the lead for triples is Angel Santos, senior.

The Bulldogs will face Canon City on October 12th at Runyon Sports Complex at 10 am to determine if they will move forward into the state playoffs.
