On Thursday, October 31st, the Centennial Brotherhood Club took a trip to Eva R. Baca Elementary School to assist with the school’s annual Halloween carnival and trick-or-treat party. Led by Mr. Roque, the club’s dedicated teacher and mentor, the boys embraced the opportunity to give back to the community while celebrating the festive occasion.

As soon as the boys arrived, they dove right into their volunteer roles. They greeted parents and guests at the entrance, helping them sign in and ensuring everyone felt welcome. Their friendly faces and helpful attitudes made a positive impression on the young families attending the event. Throughout the evening, the Brotherhood Club members directed attendees to various activities and stations, making the carnival run smoothly.

One of the highlights was the In-N-Out truck, where visitors could purchase a delicious meal ticket for just $5. The aroma of freshly made burgers filled the air, drawing crowds eager for a tasty treat. The boys also sold peanuts, a popular snack choice, and took the initiative to snap photos for families, creating lasting memories of the fun-filled evening.

In addition to their specific duties, the boys engaged with the younger students, cheering them on at games and helping them navigate the various booths. Their enthusiasm was infectious, making the event more enjoyable for everyone involved.

While the Brotherhood Club was the backbone of the volunteer effort, other students joined in to support the carnival, showcasing the spirit of collaboration that Centennial High School encourages. The event was a resounding success, highlighting the power of teamwork and the importance of giving back.

Overall, the trip to Eva R. Baca Elementary was a memorable experience for both the Centennial Brotherhood Club and the students they helped. As Halloween festivities filled the night with laughter and joy, it was clear that the spirit of community and kindness was alive and well, thanks to the hard work of the club and its members. Here’s to many more opportunities to serve and celebrate together!
