On a spectacular Senior Night, the Centennial High School varsity volleyball team hosted the Rye Thunderbolts in their season-ending match. Although the Bulldogs did not secure a victory, the game was thrilling and showcased their skill and tenacity.
Before the match, seniors Mia Imes and Kylie Martinez were honored by their teammates and coaches, receiving gifts that celebrated their contributions to the team over the years. The heartfelt ceremony set the tone for an evening filled with pride and nostalgia as fans filled the gym to support the girls.
From the very first serve, the Bulldogs demonstrated remarkable determination. The match showcased intense rallies and impressive plays, maintaining a close score throughout. Despite their valiant efforts, the Bulldogs ultimately succumbed to the Thunderbolts. However, the team's perseverance was evident, and the crowd's enthusiasm remained high until the final point.
Imes and Martinez have been instrumental to the team’s success this season, showcasing leadership and dedication both on and off the court. Their teammates reflected on their journey, highlighting the strong bond that has developed over the years. The loss did not diminish the celebration of their achievements, as the team united to honor their seniors while sharing laughter and memories.
