Thursday September 26th, Centennial High School gathered together to participate in the annual Bell Assembly for the 2024 Bell Game.

The Bell Game is an annual football game between Centennial High School and Central High School. The game has been going on since 1892, making it the longest running American football rivalry west of the Mississippi River for high schools.

The Bell Game is an important tradition of rivalry between schools and is something celebrated among the students and families alike.

During the assembly Mr. Ward was brought up to kiss a goat. This was a result of a donation competition in which students would donate money to decide which staff member would kiss a goat.

To show school spirit in anticipation of the game, Bulldogs attended the assembly which started off with the introduction of the football team.

A video by Bulldog TV was presented, showing off the different activities that took place in preparation of the game such as rehearsals, spirit days, and other sporting events.

The Centennial dance team and cheer teams both came out to perform, as well as the band that performed the routine they would be doing at the Bell Game.

A few games took place such as musical chairs, won by the Juniors, and a balloon pop game, won by the Seniors.

Bulldogs practiced school chants to use at the game, leading into the traditional battle of the spirit stick.

The contest was a close call and was down to Juniors and Seniors, making it a back and forth battle that ultimately ended with the Seniors taking the win.
