This week the Centennial boys baseball team traveled up to Sand Creek to take on the Sand Creek Scorpions; the Bulldogs were beaten by the Scorpions 8-7.
The Bulldogs held their own, and kept the score close throughout 7 innings and displayed their stellar defense, with only 3 errors throughout the game.
Sophomore David Santos, and Freshman Jack Espinoza both were on the mound for 3 innings of work, and both earned 2 scoreless innings.
Junior Joey Cardinal who's hitting .440 on the season, with 13 RBI’s, hit .600 with 3 RBI’S. Junior Daulton Meyers also added 2 runs with a double.
Unfortunately, the Bulldogs were not able to hold off the Scorpions and secure a win, and in the bottom of the 7th, the Scorpions had a successful squeeze bunt to win the game.
