This past week, the school hosted its annual academic assembly, recognizing the achievments and hard work of students, directed and led by National Honor Society President Quincy Nakaguma, who has received six letters of her own.
One of many highlights at this assembly included a guest speaker, Coach Kenneth Munley who provided a message about curiosity and perseverance. The speaker's story resonated with so many guests and provided them with inspiration about their own journeys.
The assembly recognized students who have recieved anywhere from one to six academic letters.
Kendrick Peairs, senior and first time academic letter recipient, worked hard in pursuit of this achievement. Balancing rigorous coursework and extracurricular activities, he demonstrated resilience and determination throughout the year. This achievement marks a significant milestone in his educational journey, showcasing the passion and effort he invested in his studies.
"You'll appreciate the process more than the achievement itself, and when you do receive the achievement–the academic letter–it is definitely a blessing, and you feel happy and a lot of gratitude towards yourself. But then you look back and realize it was a blessing to go through all that work in order to reach the moment in hand.”
All in all, the event ran smoothly and was filled with pride and inspiration despite the absence of sponsor Mrs. Heather Strobel. The assembly reminded one how much dedication, work, and effort it takes to achieve academic success. The Bulldog community looks forward to celebrating many more future moments of greatness and hard work.
